E.Y.T. Yoga Research

Robin became involved in yoga research in 2000, teaming up with Group Health Research Institute for the landmark National Institutes of Health-funded study, Comparing Yoga, Exercise, and a Self-Care Book for Chronic Low Back Pain: A Randomized, Controlled Trial, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine in Dec., 2005. The overwhelmingly positive results of this study supported further research, and Robin trained and mentored teachers for a second, larger scale trial utilizing the same protocol she had co-created in 2000. She has since authored, The Essential Low Back Program: Relieve Pain & Restore Health, a 5-CD/Book set based on this protocol design. For the past year, Robin has continued to work with the GH Research Institute, developing another NIH-funded protocol for Reducing Hot-Flashes for Women in Menopause. This study is slated to begin sometime in spring of 2010. If you would like to hear an interview with Robin, please visit our FAQ page.
